Foglight NMS unable to connect to platform solution

Recently My client request me to setup the Network Management System(NMS) server to generate report, the NMS i choose is Quest Foglight NMS ( don't ask me why, is the order from boss and request from client). After i install and want to connect platform, it give me a "unable to connect to platform". I had go through the web to search for solution, and this is all of the problem and solution i can found:

1) Something block the Fodlight NMS port
Check the port 5053 and/or 5054
Open CMD and type "Netstat –anop tcp" . This will display all of the TCP connections. The far right column will identify the Process ID. You can correlate these numbers in Task Manager.Make sure that ports 5053 and 5054 are open and listening. If those ports are occupied by another process or application please stop this application.

2) The main service is not started
Make sure the ptserverservice.exe is started and not blocked by any firewall. If the service is started ,  try open https://localhost:5053/Admin/version.pt through browser and it will be connected.
3) Version is not compatible

That is the cause of my problem, it because i'm using window server2008 R2, the older version of Foglight doesn't support, after i install the latest version, problem solved!
If non of that work, i can tell you save your time, use the other NMS, there are many open source NMS available ( free and user friendly). link: http://download.cnet.com/windows/network-management-software/
